Michael Vick Signs 2-year Deal With Philadelphia Eagles
ESPN has just announced that Michael Vick has signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. The deal is for two years. It’s worth $1.6 million for the first year with a $5.4 million option for the next.
Analyst are wondering how this will affect current quarterback Donovan McNabb. This concerns seems unfounded. Vick is a long ways away from being a starting quarterback. Instead they should be looking at the prospect of the Eagles gaining another offensive weapon.
The Eagles travel to play Vick’s old team, the Atlanta Falcons, on December 6th.
Vick is eligible to play the final two NFL preseason games. Commissioner Roger Goodell will consider Vick for full reinstatement by Week 6 (Oct. 18-19) at the latest.
The 29-year-old Vick has been out of the NFL since 2006 and during his hiatus he served 18 months of a 23-month sentence in federal prison.
The Monday Night Football crew was ecstatic this story broke during the game as it provides fodder for conversation. Addendum, coach Jon Gruden is 100-times better than Tony Kornheiser.
The Eagles are a tremendous fit for Vick. He should find himself fortunate. It’s a good franchise with an established and strong coach. It should provide the beleaguered Vick with some much needed structure. How the Philly fans treat him remains to be seen.
Vick’s last game in the NFL was against the Eagles.

Decent siging. I think he’s paid dues the question for me is he fit to play, will he be anything close to what he was.
