HEADLINES

Which Team Faces Most Pressure?
Which of the eight teams left in playoffs face the most pressure?

Mike: The Colts and Chargers. By not playing to win the Colts have more pressure. Third in line is Cowboys.
Tony: I agree with you about the Colts. Individually, Favre faces most pressure. Vikings are second and the Cowboys three.

  • “Decent analysis. Seems like a odd question to ask on the Friday before Divisional Weekend. No points awarded.”
  • WILBON:0 KORNHEISER:0
  • Thoughts On Guilty Plea
Gilbert Arenas pleads guilty to felony gun chargers.

Mike: I think he’s done with team. It would surprise me if he plays this season.
Tony: I don’t think Arenas will ever play for Washington again. Maybe if there’s no owner. Most amazing story was Arenas blaming team for his actions.

  • “Good analysis on a subject that has been run into the ground.”
  • WILBON:1 KORNHEISER:1
  • Shooting Case Re-opened?
Feds re-open case against Marvin Harrison.

Mike: This is not the Harrison I know. The people we know in uniform we don’t know away from the game.
Tony: This is the example where we would stress that we don’t know people. He was a loner. He played a diva position but didn’t act like one. Who knows.

  • “Awful. Their comments were banal, self indulgent, and obvious. They each lose a point.”
  • WILBON:0 KORNHEISER:0
  • Interested In Giants Job?
Bill Cowher wants New York Giants job.

Mike: Cowher is going somewhere with a proven quarterback.
Tony: I always thought Cowher was waiting for Carolina job.

  • “Decent. Not great. Decent. No points though.”
  • WILBON:0 KORNHEISER:0
  • Was 55-Point Game A Curse?
Brandon Jennings laments scoring 55-points in a game.

Mike: I understand why he feels the way he does. He’s averaging 18-6. He’s still in the running for ROY.
Tony: I like him more and more. I think he’s the only rookie of consequences. 18-6 is wonderful for a rookie.

  • “Finally some decent analysis if the topic was a bit forced. Obviously it’s a slow sports day.”

    FIVE GOOD MINUTES

    Ron Jaworski

    1. You will see a shootout between Cards and Saints. Kurt Warner is in a zone and Drew Brees has had phenomenal season.
    2. Jaws: Saints; Wilbon: Cards; Kornheiser: Saints
    3. I think layoff will hurt Colts early in game but they will recover. They will catch up to Ravens.
    4. Jaws: Colts; Wilbon: Colts (in OT); Kornheiser: Ravens
    5. Cowboys have been hot against the Eagles, a one dimensional offense. Vikings will force Romo to throw and hold onto the football.
    6. Jaws: Vikes; Wilbon: Cowboys ; Kornheiser: Vikes
    7. I love Rex Ryan! But I think the buck stops here for the Jets. San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers and his receivers know how to beat the blitz.
    8. Jaws: Chargers; Wilbon: Chargers ; Kornheiser: Chargers
  • “Very good comments from Jaworski. The hosts were okay. “

    Dooly is A ___ Hire?
Dooly is hired as Tennessee head coach.

Mike: Desperate. The school is desperate.

  • WILBON:1 KORNHEISER:1
  • Gaines’ Shot Was____?
Gaines hits a shot to defeat the Cavs.

Mike: Splendiferous. Before this shot LeBron hit some ridiculous shots.
Tony: Hollywood. It was his first three as a pro and he gets another 10-day contract out of it.

  • “Wilbon selected better word and he saw the game. Tony admitted he didn’t and for someone hosting a sports show that’s inexcusable.”
  • WILBON:2 KORNHEISER:0
  • Oden Would Be____ To Return To Court This Season?
Greg Oden of the Portland Trail Balzers.

Mike: Ambitious. Greg Oden is still 21-years old. You want him to want to be back out there?
Tony: Uninsurable. He’s made of glass. This kid should rest and sit. Wait till next year.

  • “Once again Tony reveals his hatred for all things Oden and Portland.”
  • WILBON:4 KORNHEISER:0
  • Save Without Mask On Was____?
NHL goalie Cam Ward makes save minus his face protection.

Mike: Gumpworsleyan. It’s the toughness you have to have to be a goalie.
