Bombastic Sports is the product of Ryan Hogan’s hard work, dedication and creativity.

Hogan lives and works in Vancouver, Washington, an All-American city just across the Columbia River from Portland, Oregon and about three hours south of Seattle, Washington.

After growing tired of sports sites with opinions like “this team sucks” and “that player’s a f*g,” Hogan decided to start his own website and make it free of such sophomoric declarations.

Bombastic Sports provides sports news, opinion and analysis for passionate fans who would rather have more “smarts” and less “smack.”

The site also aims to provide the most vital sports information the mature, intelligent and responsible sports fans needs for their busy day.  The site is also and always 100% safe for work.

In addition to writing for Bombastic Sports, Ryan Hogan writes for his other blogs, Land of Punt and GET OFF MY LAWN!

Hogan also writes for Oak Web Works and their family of blogs which includes: ClicketTicket, Authority Theater Tickets and Best Show Tickets Las Vegas Blog.  Hogan also writes for In Game Now and TWPH.

Hogan’s favorite teams are the Portland Trail Blazers, Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners.  His favorite sport is football.

  • Game 7: Most-watched NBA game in 12 years

    ABC's coverage of the NBA Finals' Game 7 garnered the largest basketball audience in 12 years. Thursday night's Game 7 drew 28.2 million viewers, the largest television audience since a Bulls vs. Jazz game in 1998. Lakers-Celtics scored a hefty 11.4 rating among adults 18-49. The pivotal game was also TV's top non-Olympics summer telecast in nearly a decade.

  • Last Game of NHL Finals Scores Best Ratings in 36 Years

    The sixth and final game of the Stanley Cup Finals, in which the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Philadelphia Flyers for their first championship since 1971, drew 8.3 million viewers making it the most-watched NHL game in nearly 40 years. The entire 2010 Stanley Cup Finals was the most viewed finals in nearly 13 years. However, NBC still came in second thanks to the Fox Network's two-hour edition of So You Think You Can Dance.

  • Shawn Johnson Set To Tumble At London Olympics

    Iowa native and gold-medal winner in gymnastics at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Shawn Johnson, recently announced that she plans on competing at the 2010 Summer Games in London. The 18-year-old gymnast made the announcement to a crowd of 8,000 students at Des Moines' Hy-Vee Hall. In 2008, Johnson won four medals the Summer Olympics, a gold in the balance beam as well three silvers.
